Kimmo Timonen had an interview with 94.1 WIP Friday morning. He remained positive about his future in the NHL. Timonen, who is 39 was diagnosed with a blood clot in September. Timonen will be honored at the Philadelphia Sports Writers Association for the “Good Guy Award” on January 16, 2015.
“We still may be four, four weeks away until my medicine runs out,” Timonen told Angelo Cataldi and the 94WIP Morning Show on Friday morning. “Until that time, we’ve got to do some re-testing probably in a couple weeks to see where I’m at and we go from there. But so far, everything looks good. I’m in good shape and I’m pretty excited about what might come in four weeks, but we don’t know. We haven’t done any testing, so you know, it’s not about me it’s about the health and what the picture will show.”
